27th June 2006 11th Driving lesson

I felt a bit dissapointed in myself last lesson for not doing 40mph or anywhere near it so I decided today I would get up to 40mph I would not be nervous I would not end up skidding cos my instructor would slow me down to avoid it.

We go on the same route as last lesson and practice 4th gear again I relise I am doing 40mph and not nervous or anything great I thought I would have to keep reminding myself to do 40 and keep reminding myself it would be safe but actually felt quite relaxed doing it. Had to be told to slow down which makes a nice change from last lesson. My instructor tests me reading a number plate, I get a few figures wrong but still determind I will see the distance. My instructor says I mite be able to drive home next lesson which is tomorrow. She tells me I need to be able to get biting point quickly tho at the traffic lights. I hope to show her that I am ready to drive home and I have been getting biting point quite quick lately so hope I can do it.
